Lloyd Lee Choi is a Korean-Canadian filmmaker. His short Same Old (2022) inspired Lucky Lu. This is his debut feature, premiering at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight.
Synopsis
Lu, a New York City delivery rider, loses his e-bike just as his family arrives from abroad. Struggling to replace it, he confronts the fragility of the immigrant dream.
