Luciana Piantanida was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. She studied cinematography and has developed her career as a director, screenwriter, and producer. Since 2015, she has been part of the production company “Pensar con las manos.” She was a producer for “The Long Night of Francisco Sanctis” by A. Testa and F. Marquez, and for “Niña Mamá” by A. Testa, among others. She directed and wrote short films and documentary series for local television. Her first feature film, “Los Ausentes” won the WIP section of BAFICI and SANFIC and premiered in 2016. Her second feature film, "Todas las fuerzas” won the award for Best Feature in the Argentine Competition at BAFICI 26.
Marlene lives in the house of the elderly woman she cares for. Her job is full-time, but when she learns that a friend of hers has disappeared, she sneaks out at night and begins to investigate it. The clues lead her to night time jobs where Marlene meets other women who, like her, have developed their gifts into superpowers.
