Verónica Perrotta, born in Montevideo in 1976, is a Uruguayan actress, playwright, and director whose career spans theater, cinema, and television; trained at Casa del Teatro and Escuela Alambique before studying dramaturgy in Buenos Aires, she became known for her sharp humor and inventive storytelling, earning acclaim as an actress in films like Whisky (2004), Las toninas van al Este (2016)—which won her Best Actress at the Festival de Cine de Gramado—and Society of the Snow (2023), while as a director she made her mark with Quemadura China (2025), a surreal comedy-drama adapted from her own stage work that blends absurdist humor with existential themes and won awards at CineBH in Brazil, establishing her as one of Uruguay’s most dynamic cultural figures.
Siamese twins Annie and Dani face physical separation in a procedure as surgical as it is existential. Their brother Willie, who has to operate on them, confesses his desire to be a siamese and asks for sewing himself to one of them. The cast's tensions and obsessions intertwine with fantastical fiction, while the main location threatens to collapse.
