Tarik Saleh
Tarik Saleh (b. 1972, Stockholm) is a Swedish filmmaker. Known for Metropia (2009), The Nile Hilton Incident (2017, Sundance Grand Jury Prize), and Boy from Heaven (2022, Cannes Best Screenplay).
Synopsis
Egyptian actor George Fahmy is conscripted into a propaganda film, forced to play the president in a glorified narrative. The film closes Saleh’s Cairo trilogy, exploring politics, cinema, and authoritarianism.
