IFFK redefined the aesthetics of Malayalam Cinema- K Jayakumar

The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) has played a transformative role in shaping the aesthetics and sensibilities of Malayalam cinema, said former Chief Secretary K Jayakumar while inaugurating the Media Cell for the 30th IFFK at Tagore Theatre on 11 December 2025.

He added that the vibrant and ever-growing participation of young audiences has greatly strengthened the festival, contributing significantly to its growth, dynamism, and cultural relevance.

The event was presided over by Kerala Media Academy Chairperson R S Babu. Kerala State Cultural Activists' Welfare Fund Board Chairman Madhupal, Information and Public Relations Department Director T V Subhash IAS, Kerala State Chalachitra Academy Secretary C Ajoy, Vice Chairperson Cuckoo Parameswaran, actor Sarayu, and Media Committee Convenor Anupama G Nair were among those present.

The Media Cell, operating from Tagore Theatre, will provide official updates, screening schedules, and cultural highlights throughout the week-long festival, ensuring timely information and smooth coordination for media representatives covering the 30th IFFK.
