Green is innovative; Suchitwa Mission with exemplary ideas

poster

The Suchitwa Mission has launched an inspiring awareness and idea campaign at the Tagore Theatre, the main venue of the 30th IFFK, transforming the festival into a Green Festival (Haritha Mela). The theatre and its surroundings have been reimagined as an ethereal world crafted entirely from waste, radiating the vibrant colors of creativity. The centerpiece of the event is the striking installation “Nothing is Waste,” modeled after a movie screen.

The festival also features an exhibition and sale of functional items made from waste, demonstrating how discarded materials can be repurposed into everyday objects. A special program, Let’s Have a Waste Chat, hosted by Suchitha Mission at their stall, engages visitors in discussions on responsible waste management and adopting a lifestyle in harmony with nature. Throughout the Tagore Theatre, a variety of exhibits created from different types of plastic waste showcase innovation, sustainability, and the transformative power of creative recycling.
