Bi Gan
Bi Gan (b. 1989, Kaili, Guizhou) is a Chinese director, poet, and photographer. His debut Kaili Blues (2015) won the Golden Horse Best New Director and Locarno Emerging Director awards. His second feature Long Day’s Journey into Night (2018) premiered at Cannes Un Certain Regard. Resurrection (2025) is his third feature, presented at Cannes Competition. Bi is known for dreamlike visuals and temporal experimentation
Synopsis
In a society where people stop dreaming to extend lifespan, dreamers warp time and reality. The film unfolds across five dreamscapes, each tied to a cinematic epoch.
